How To Coordinate Blue Trousers With Different Shoes
Best Shoe Matches – Top Notch
If we’re talking about lighter blue chinos, beige shoes are a fantastic pairing to make. This is great during the warm weather; we suggest no-show socks with a driving loafer for a nice, easy match. If you want to dress it up, have fun with a beige monk strap and a white button-down. Can’t miss.
Burgundy has red in it, and blue and red are primary colors. Such colors look right at home next to each other, so this is a beautiful match that’s as simple as it is handsome.
Green is the combination of yellow and blue, so green shoes will be a great pair for blue trousers. Just make sure that your outfit is coordinated around the type of green in the shoe, be it yellow-green or blue-green. If they’re yellow-green, wear warm-colored accessories. If they’re blue-green, cool-colored accessories will work best.
This is an unorthodox combination, but it’s smart as a whip. Wear light grey shoes with light blue trousers and darker grey shoes with darker blue trousers. Follow this guideline and you’ll have a match made in sartorial heaven.
Probably the most common shoe pairing for blue trousers, light brown shoes are a killer complement. The outfit possibilities are endless with this combination, so try this out of you want to have some fun with your shirt and accessories.
Orange and blue are complementary, so this pairing works well. Note that it only works well in warm weather, casually, and outside the office. No board meetings or sales calls in orange shoes, please.
Red shoes with casual blue trousers are a great look. Try it in the summer time with a white shirt, particularly if we’re talking about red boat shoes. Red driving shoes are another great option with blue trousers.
A can’t-miss summer combination, white shoes are perfect with blue trousers. This combination is great for a garden party, dinner in a beach town, or brunch in town when you’re sitting outside and more people can notice your sweet white shoes.
Acceptable Shoe Matches – Mid Range
Black shoes with blue trousers is a perfectly fine combination. It’s simple and has a certain elegance about it, but we prefer other colors that do the blue trousers more justice. Do this if you need to play it safe.
Again, this combination looks good, but is perhaps a bit too dressy for certain shades of blue. Be judicious in your color selection and you’ll be fine.
Make sure the trousers you wear are a light enough blue to contrast well. You’ll look a bit blueberry-ish otherwise.
As purple is simply the combination of blue and red, you have to be sure that the purple isn’t so blue that it gets washed out by the blue trousers. We suggest light blue trousers with medium-to-deep purple shoes.
