Founded in 2022 and launched in Feb 2023, Every Day Is Cigar Day was the brainchild of two friends, Andrius Petrucenia and Paul Anthony.
For full disclosure, Paul is the founder and owner of Bespoke Unit and thus has a business interest in both entities.
Their mission: make affordable “every day cigars” using only the best tobacco available.
During the past couple of years, Paul & Andrius had noticed that the popularity of cigars had skyrocketed – along with prices.
While both founders wholeheartedly support brick-and-mortar stores for the rich environment they provide, as a result of the aforementioned trend, smoking has become more and more of a luxury activity.
The two embarked on creating a line of premium long-filler cigars at near bundle prices. They’ve now achieved this by working directly with tobacco farmers, engaging daily with a cigar factory, and only selling directly to consumers.

As of writing (May 2023), Every Day Is Cigar Day has released its white label “core line” consisting of four blends, as follows:

Each of the above blends comes in seven different vitolas (sizes below inches x ring gauge).
- Pablito: 4″ x 48
- Papito: 4.75″ x 36
- Chonk: 4.25″ x 64
- Robusto: 5″ x 50
- Torpedo: 6″ x 52
- Toro: 6″ x 52
- Gordo: 6″ x 60
With the release of the white label cigars in seven respective sizes, the brand hopes to fit the flavor profile and smoke size/time preference of many smokers.
However, the founders have no intention of stopping there!
Currently, they are also offering a range of branded Every Day Is Cigar Day swag. Included are shirts, hoodies, and baseball caps. See their swag store here.
In the future, the brand plans to release two other ranges:
- Silver Line: direct access factory overruns
- Gold Line: limited editions and unique collaborations

Review: How Every Day Is Cigar Day Got Started
Andrius and Paul first met in Jan 2020 when they both went on their first trip to Nicaragua. It was organized by Roy Sommer of Davidoff in the UK and the Nicaraguan embassy in London. The trip would last ten days, but the memories and friendships would last a lifetime.
Not only did the trip consist of cigars, but also behind-the-scenes tours of Flor De Cana rum, coffee plantations, cacao plantations, cattle farms, and more!
Paul had already been exposed to cigar making in the Dominican Republic by Klaas Kelner and had produced a feature-length documentary called “From Seed To Smoke: A Cigar’s Odyssey (YouTube).” However, this was the first trip to Central America for Andrius.
Andrius was immediately hooked by Nicaragua and its moniker, “the land of lakes and volcanoes” (plus a few cigars, too!).
Founders Back Story
Andrius’ Story
Andrius moved to Esteli, Nicaragua, in late 2020 with his passport and a dream of working in the cigar industry. Formerly, he wrought a highly successful career as one of London’s top concierges, even being a committee member of the Golden Keys.
With his drive and effervescent personality, Andrius started from the bottom, making many friends and contacts along the way, eventually becoming head of sales at Tabaclera Aragon (where the core line is being produced).
Currently, Andrius is focused on developing Every Day Is Cigar Day and keeping active in the Every Day Is Cigar Day Reddit community he started.
Paul’s Story
Paul founded Bespoke Unit in 2013 with the goal of providing easy-to-follow user guides and reviews related to gentlemanly pursuits.
He joined the Union League of Philadelphia around the same time, where his more profound interest and appreciation of cigars blossomed.
Fast forward to today, and Bespoke Unit has become one of the web’s most popular guides on all things cigars, getting over 300,000 visitors per month specifically for cigars content across all platforms.
Going forward, Paul is also focusing on developing Every Day Is Cigar Day, as well as keeping Bespoke Unit one of the best resources for cigar smokers of all levels, from beginner to seasoned vets.
Why Buy Every Day Is Cigar Day Cigars?
The brand has a keen focus on saving money where it counts. Perhaps more importantly, it’s intent on spending where it’s most critical, in their tobacco, thereby assuring a luxury smoking experience.
Being a direct-to-consumer brand, Every Day Is Cigar Day has managed to cut out a significant amount of markup that can be passed on as savings directly to the consumer.
Not to mention, there are several other ways the brand keeps lean to make the highest quality at a fraction of regular retail prices. For instance:
- Building relationships directly with tobacco farmers
- Buying direct from tobacco farmers (where possible, and not via brokers)
- Luxe, minimal cardboard packaging, saving on box cost and multiple legs of heavy shipping
- Working directly with box, band, etc… manufacturers from China, the USA, and Nicaragua
- The founders do all website and graphic design work
- Dropship cigars direct from a USA climate-controlled warehouse to consumer
This has resulted in cigars being priced at $4-6 that are:
- Hand-rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua
- Premium long filler
- Use premium aged tobacco
- Minimum of three month factory aging post-rolling
- Each box dated with month/year rolled
- Each box packed with 69% Boveda packs
But Why Boxes of 16?
The decision was made to make boxes of 16 for two main reasons:
- The core line was always going to be four blends, thus being able to offer “sample packs” of 4 x 4 cigars allowing their customers to see what blends they prefer and/or offer an easier way to get variety for less than per box cost
- Being called “Every Day Is Cigar Day,” if smokers are so inclined to smoke daily, two boxes give you 32 cigars (or just over one per day of the month).
