What are your thoughts on double breasted suites? Are they out of fashion? I’m not so interested in the modern interpretation. The modern versions I’ve seen have very narrow lapels and the jackets seem to be very short.
Thank you for your thoughts.
Bryan
Hi there!
As Yves Saint Laurent was known to say “fashion is fleeting, style is eternal”! Although the current trends do favour narrow lapels and short jackets, we feel that the classics are timeless. You can read our guide to jacket styles to learn more about this!
All the best,
CP
I loved the entire website. It is one of the most informative style / fashion pages on the web.

Gentlemen,
Stumbled on the website after finding your YouTube channel looking for cigar storage options. Really enjoying the content very much. Keep up the great work. I consider your work an excellent reference for many things necessary to today’s man. Thank you !
PS: would love to see more golf articles / links, etiquette, course reviews, golf travel sources, etc….

I just came across your website and I have to admit that it’s a great source of information. You have just the perfect amount of needed information. I love the watch section! I sent your link to most of my colleagues in the office, some need it more than others. ????. Keep up the excellent work.

Just read a wonderful article on Indochino here; thank you for all of the information. Your article, however, has prompted a question: seeing that you ordered a tweed suit, do you have any experience with Walker Slater and, if so, what are your thoughts?
Thanks, Andrew! Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience with Walker Slater. That said, we would like to give them a go one day!
Best,

I am a newbie at BU. I just love this site!! I like to do things ‘just so’ and the British way works for this U.S. consumer. Everything is done just right. The photos are composed beautifully–works of art–really. The jovial back-and -forth is so much enjoyed by this gent in training.
The fragrance reviews are so precisely set up with each flacon and a beautiful water glass for each side of the table. The guys look sharp with nice tweeds. I love sport coats and herrringbones and windowpanes. I ramble.
So perfectly done. It is so relaxing to find a business that really likes to do things right–and beautifully!!!
Hi Norman,
Thanks for the kind words, it’s much appreciated! We’re grateful for your support!
All the best,
CP
Hello,
My husband was in the Royal Navy and he has anon pleated cummerbund. Would this be Navy uniform and where can I find one for my son. My husband seems to think that they are the up to date ones to get for my sons black tie.
Please advise.
Thank you
Sascha
Hey there Sascha,
Unfortunately, I’m not too familiar. However, I know that most everything can be purchased online! Have you tried searching sites such as eBay to see if you can find more information or another example of your husband’s cummerbund?
Rafael
I found BU while researching English Leather. I had purchased two bottles of older (Mem) from eBay, and a current (Dana), and one 1 oz plastic bottle that didn’t say Mem, but did have Northvale, NJ on it. I believe Mem was associated with this address at one time.
I have not looked at much of your site but I am interested in the categories, as my two brothers are. I will be seeing them tomorrow, Easter/2022
best wishes to all and regards,
Louis
Wow, since i landed on this site, i can’t spend a day without passing by. At 38 years i love the classic dress style. woolen and checkered pants does it
Thanks Don! It’s great to hear that you’ve enjoyed the content we’ve put together – it’s taken many years to build.
Rafael
Well I have to say I am floored, this pack of wolves bend towards the coolest lifestyles.I am impressed!
Thanks for the kind words!

I was enjoying your site until I saw you not only had a “philadelphia correspondent” but two contributors from this vile, execrable city. New York is the capital of fashion, art, media and money, yet you have a “philadelphia correspondent” and no one from the center of the universe? This is like a British fashion magazine and having a “Newcastle correspondent” and no one based in London.
philadelphia is filled with boorish, violent drunks who are the exact opposite of the type of man you are trying to reach. Their idea of style is putting on their one iggles jersey that isn’t covered in mustard stains and dried blood.
Goodbye
Completely disagree with your take regarding Philly! But I found your comment to be rather amusing and I think other readers will too.
Rafael
Hi, I noticed you recommending CigarPage and I’m trying to figure out if they are a legit operation… They don’t charge an excise tax for Indiana (where I live) but all my research says they are supposed to. It’s not like I WANT to pay this stupid tax but just curious how they get away with that. If anyone on here knows? Thanks!
Hey Luke,
I can personally guarantee that CigarPage is legit as I’ve ordered from them numerous times. I’m in Florida and I’ve not been charged taxes other than sales tax, so I can’t really speak to which taxes they should be charging you. I know they are in PA so it might have something to do with the fact that they’re shipping from outside Indiana. You could try reaching out the their support and see if they can provide any insight.
